Wish you could afford a fundraising consultant?

Want to raise money for your organization; identify new board members; create or update a strategic plan; develop the board; or solve other challenges?

The CrossMentoring Initiative, a project of the Maidstone Foundation, is seeking applicant organizations who are in need of non profit consulting services but whose budgets often preclude them from experienced counsel.

We work with small non profit organizations, individually and as members of a cohort, to confront and solve challenges such as:

“I really connected with my Cross Mentoring cohort - with nonprofit executive directors from across the country - going through similar organizational challenges that I face on a regular basis.  We were able talk confidentially to one another as peers, in a supportive environment. I always looked forward to the next monthly session.”

What we do

In the winter of 2017, we will be hosting free MeetUp events throughout New York City!  These events will be fun, focused on networking, and each will have its own topic.

January 2017

We are accepting applications for the next CrossMentoring cohort.  If you want to apply, the application is online and on our website.

“For a busy nonprofit executive, driven by urgent to-do-lists, CrossMentoring is supportive, energizing, resourceful and FUN.  The monthly sessions, held by web-conerence with other executive directors from around the country, allowed me to hear firsthand how my peer leaders successfully navigated issues that were currently challenging me”.

Our impact

  • Annual giving, major gifts, corporate solicitation, special events
  • Management challenges, staffing issues, recruitment
  • Board collaboration, governance practice, roles and responsibilities
  • Day to day challenges of being an executive

These are some of the CrossMentoring Initiative's participant organizations.  Through the initiative, their leaders gained valuable access to innovative, relevant consulting, peer-networking and problem solving.

Winter 2017

We will be hosting a series of free networking events across the city for non profit leaders and board members.  Go to our MeetUp page to learn more.
